I began ticking of the days until my first marathon (Portland, this past October) at the 100 days to-go mark, it was a nice little motivator to slash off each number before bed. This time around, training has less an aura of intrigue and more one of dread to it. I hope that’s just the couple months off of training talking.
Today also marks the completion of the first two weeks of training. I got all the planned mileage in but missed one swim (designed more as therapy than for fitness, really). School starts back up this coming week so it will get more challenging to prioritize training. I am hoping that having posted my training plan in this blog, and the fact that posts go to facebook will keep me honest and focused!
I just got back from my long run for the week. It’s cold enough out that now my cheeks feel like they are burning.
